As the mid-term elections draw ever closer, we continue to look at the issues being raised, and wonder about the ones that aren't. Once again the Republicans are reminding the country to be afraid while little is being discussed on the things that most affect the daily lives of the citizens: Education, immigration, health care, jobs, taxes etc. Will this single-issue focus rescue the Republicans one more time? Or has it finally worn out it's welcome? Also on the agenda, we hand over the floor to Keith Olbermann one more time to reiterate his (and our) outrage at the suspension of Habeas Curpus in the Military Commissions Act signed into law this past week, and comment on the apparent indecision in the White House on how to respond to the recommendations of Jim Baker's committee about Iraq. Throw in some humour from Bill Maher, some discussions on Barack Obama's Presidential aspirations, and a few other odds and ends that popped up, and we have another week of commentary from Politically Sound.
